What up gangsta
So my opinion of mainstream rap/r&b these days is pretty much that it sucks. Listening to Black Eyed Peas continuously squeal "What you gon' do with all that junk?" really doesn't do it for me. Everything after Nas' Illmatic, Tribe's Midnight Mauraders, and of course Biggie really doesn't get it going for me, minus the occasional club jam (I Need a Girl Part 2 anyone?!).
HOW-EV-ER, when "What Up Gangsta" came on at Tokyo Bar on Sat, the look on Joe's face (one of sheer joy and happiness, highlighted by a half-gone cigarette) and his sudden violent head-bobbing brought the energy back into the group! Too bad we were on our way out... otherwise it could've turned into quite a crazy night.
So this morning I was listening to some stupid 50 Cent songs on the bus to work... couldn't stop laughing.

In honour of this, here are some more pics from Gradball. More like a series really... Team Philippines + PCho attempting to do a "Team Philippines What Up Gangsta" picture. Clearly, the korean is unable to deal with the gangstaness of the shot. Observe:
